KUCHING, July 13: Sarawak Energy has confirmed a fatal accident that involved a member of the public that occurred today in Medamit, Limbang, in connection with ongoing contractor works for the Medamit–Limbang transmission line project.
“Sarawak Energy is deeply saddened by the tragic incident and conveys its heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of the departed,” it said in a press release.
At the same time, Sarawak Energy requested that the public avoid speculating on the incident and refrain from spreading unconfirmed news, especially as the incident is under investigation, as well as out of respect for the victim’s family.
“Safety remains a top priority and a team has been mobilised to the site. Sarawak Energy is extending its full cooperation to the authorities.” — DayakDaily
