KUCHING, July 29: Development priorities and measures aimed at strengthening Sarawak’s economic growth and overall progress were among the key agenda items discussed during a pre-Cabinet meeting between Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg today.
The meeting, held at the Sarawak Governor’s Office at 10am, formed part of the routine pre-Cabinet session ahead of the State Cabinet Meeting, where the Premier sought the Sarawak Governor’s consent and presented key agenda items as well as policy papers for the State government’s consideration.
During the nearly one-hour engagement, Abang Johari briefed Wan Junaidi on the latest developments in the implementation of Sarawak’s strategic policies, socioeconomic development initiatives, and ongoing efforts to ensure the well-being of the people.
According to a statement, the discussions also covered the State government’s continued efforts to drive development, enhance economic opportunities, and advance Sarawak’s transformation towards becoming a more progressive and prosperous region.
Wan Junaidi shared his views on the future direction of Sarawak’s development and expressed confidence in the State government’s initiatives under the leadership of Abang Johari in steering the State towards sustainable growth and greater prosperity.
The pre-Cabinet meeting is part of the established administrative process between the State government and the Sarawak Governor ahead of key Cabinet deliberations. — DayakDaily
