KUCHING, March 21: The Bintulu-Jepak Bridge is expected to have its soft opening this Sunday (March 23).
According to the Sarawak Public Works Department (JKR), this means that the public will finally be able to access the long-awaited bridge.
Dubbed the ‘San Francisco bridge’ of Bintulu, it has a contract value of RM460 million.
It features a maximum height of 90m, a clearance of 26m, and spans 268m across the Kemena River.
The bridge is expected to significantly shorten the route from Bintulu airport to Bintulu town from 22 km to 6.4km. — DayakDaily
