KUCHING, March 22: Association of Wives of Ministers and Assistant Ministers Sarawak (Sabati) has received a second donation of 48,000 face masks from China as Covid-19 pandemic aid relief.

Through a network of non-governmental organisations (NGOs), Sabati president Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang said, all the face masks would be distributed to the less fortunate in the next few weeks.

In accepting the donation from General Consulate of the People’s Republic of China Consul General Cheng Guangzhong, Juma’ani expressed her sincere appreciation for China’s generous gesture.

She said this is the second donation from China to Sarawak through Sabati and the previous donation in Sept, 2020 was distributed to community rehabilitation centres (PPDKs) and NGOs across the state.

Adding on, she also hoped that the cordial relations and cooperation between China and Sabati in Kuching will continue in future in caring for the needy in Sarawak. — DayakDaily
