The committee will also be assisted by The Borneo Post’s Jacqueline Nur Atiqah as the advisor and See Hua Daily’s Edmund Chang as the auditor.

Teo thanked the 30 members who were present during the AGM for the vote of confidence.

“I look forward to serving the media community to the best of my capacity for the new term. We hope the community will continue to support the media in its efforts to deliver accurate and timely news to the public,” he said.

KDJA currently has 380 members since its establishment in 1972 to look after media practitioners’ welfare and improve media professionalism in Kuching.

Among the key activities to be organised by KDJA this year include the annual Kota Kinabalu hiking trip in conjunction with Sarawak Day and a courtesy visit to Indonesia to build relations with the media, government agencies, embassies and industries there. — DayakDaily
