60 from less fortunate group break fast with Women’s Ministry

KUCHING, April 14: About 60 people ranging from homeless people and single mothers as well as their children to the underprivileged and the disabled broke fast with a delegation from the Ministry of Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development.

Its minister Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah said the programme is one her ministry’s commitments to the social inclusivity agenda to ensure that vulnerable communities enjoy a dignified existence.

She added that through Kuching Community Social Support Center (CSSC), her ministry together with strategic partners will also continue to provide social support and intervention to vulnerable communities to address the social issues they face.


Fatimah said this during the ‘Program Iftar Bersama Komuniti Rentan’ held at the Community Social Support Centre (CSSC) Kuching, here today.

During the programme, a total of 300 ready-to-eat goody bags were also presented to the recipients for ‘moreh’ and ‘sahur’ meals.
