MIRI, Feb 1: Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau and two journalists from local English dailies were fortunate to have escaped unharmed after the SUV they were travelling in crashed into the concrete barriers near Bukit Song along the Jalan Miri-Bintulu early today.
Prior to the accident at 12.25am, they were on their way to Miri from Long Lama after attending a Chinese New Year gathering.
All three victims — including the state assemblyman — managed to crawl out off the SUV which had turned turtle after the crash impact.
Traffic police and an ambulance were mobilised to the scene. — DayakDaily
