RM770k allocated for upgrading several roads in Serian district

SERIAN, Dec 23: A sum of RM770, 000 have been allocated to five villages for the upgrading of village roads and roads leading to the individual houses in Serian division.

The allocation, according to Prime Minister’s Special Envoy to Japan, South Korea and Taiwan, Datuk Seri Richard Riot Jaem, was from 2020 Rural Transformation Programme (RTP).


The five villages are Kpg Rasau Tebas with the allocation of (RM150,000), Kpg Pichin, (RM150, 000), Kpg Muhibah (RM200, 000), Kpg Sg Lingsat (RM150, 000) and Kpg Sorak Dayak (RM120, 000).

“Today we are witnessing the handing over of the projects to the successful contractors, where all the projects will be completed in two months.

“So it is really hoped the contractors will complete the projects in time and to do it well based on the specification,” Riot said.

He added the projects will be completed either by January or February next year with Serian District Council as the implementing agency.

Meanwhile, Riot also touched on Covid-19 and rabies diseases in the state.

On this, he advised the people to always remain vigilant and to strictly follow the standard operating procedure (SOP) set up by the government.
