KUCHING, March 1: The Covid-19 pandemic should no longer be used as an excuse for not continuing a project that is behind schedule, and community leaders must report suspected ‘sick projects’ to the relevant authorities.

According to a news report from TV Sarawak (TVS), Tanjong Datu assemblyman Azizul Annuar Adenan said it is the responsibility of community leaders to report to the agencies responsible that all projects should follow the specifications and that they are on schedule.

“We know that in 2020, 2021 and 2022, many projects identified were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, so we would see numerous projects being delayed, but it is not an excuse for the project to not be implemented,” he said.
