BAU, Jan 7: Plans are underway for the Association of Research and Development Movement of Singai Sarawak (Redeems) centre here in Singai to host future Sarawak-level Gawai Dayak celebrations.

Redeems president Datuk Peter Nansian Ngusie said they are looking to host at least four international events at the centre every year.

He said the centre has slowly gained recognition, having hosted the International Baton Run last year where about 1,700 local and international runners participated.

“We will continuously have future plans to host international events in the centre. Among the events will be the International Tribal Festival and Praise Music Festival which is famous worldwide,” he said at a press conference today.

Meanwhile, Nansian also assured that the library and football field facilities will be upgraded slowly for public use. — Dayakdaily
