KUCHING, June 26: Regional Corridor Development Authority (Recoda) through the Northern Region Development Agency (NRDA) has donated vaccine-related equipment to the Limbang Division Health Office to assist in the vaccination rollout to surrounding communities.

In a simple ceremony held on yesterday, NRDA Regional director Datu Ubaidillah Abdul Latip handed over the contribution to Limbang Division Health officer Dr Norliza Jusoh at the Limbang Civic Centre which was witnessed by Deputy Chief Minister and NRDA chairman Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan.

According to a media release, the equipment includes one top loading vaccine refrigerator, five cold boxes and ice packs, which will be used to assist health officers in expediting the vaccination programme in the region.

This handover came on the heels of another similar corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme held a day earlier in Lawas where NRDA also donated equipment to Lawas District Health Office and Lawas District Council to facilitate the vaccination programme.

NRDA is a development agency under Recoda, a statutory body that is tasked with implementing socio-economic and infrastructure development programmes in the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (Score).

RECODA is also tasked with promoting investment to the state as well as job creation.
