Rais Ahmat succeeds Anuar Da’an as new Deputy Resident of Samarahan Division

KUCHING, June 6: Rais Ahmat, the District Officer of Asajaya, has been appointed as the new Deputy Resident of Samarahan Division, starting yesterday (June 5).

According to a Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) news report, Rais will succeed Anuar Da’an, who previously served as the Deputy Resident of Samarahan Division but has now been officially transferred to the Integrated Regional Samarahan Development Agency (IRSDA) as the special administrative officer.

The handover of duties ceremony took place at the Batang Sadong meeting room in the Samarahan Division Resident’s Office, and was witnessed by Mohamad Irwan Bahari Bujang, the Resident of Samarahan Division.

Meanwhile, Mohamad Irwan praised Anuar’s significant contributions to progress and development during his service at the Samarahan Division Resident’s Office.

Mohamad Irwan also expressed confidence in Rais’ ability to fulfil his responsibilities as the Deputy Resident of Samarahan Division, given his prior experience as a District Officer at the Asajaya District Office.

Meanwhile, in his speech, Rais requested support and cooperation at both the agency and community levels to ensure that development in the Samarahan section proceeds smoothly.

The brief ceremony was also attended by Anuar; Samarahan District Officer, Ahmad Abdul Razak; Gedong District Officer, Tamida Da’adi; and Samarahan Division Resident’s Office staff. — DayakDaily
