PRS deputy info chief to voters: Help GPS win all 31 seats so S’wak can have bigger bargaining chip

KUCHING, Oct 16: Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) deputy information chief Andy Lawrence is urging all Sarawakians to give GPS their full support to secure all 31 parliamentary seats in the coming 15th General Election (GE15).

He said the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS)-led Sarawak government would become a formidable force with a louder voice and bigger bargaining chip.

He also said that GPS has an edge over other political parties in Malaysia due to its political stability.

“This is the most crucial time for Sarawakians, and we might never have this opportunity again.

“If we win a solid 31 seats for GPS, we can ask for a DPM (Deputy Prime Minister) post with a critical portfolio like Finance Minister, or at least Minister of Home Affairs,” said Andy in a statement today.

He said since the 2018 General Election, the political scenario in Peninsular Malaysia has been in disarray with no political dominance by a single party.

“Not like the previous term where we can see one political party able to secure (a majority of) more than 80 seats (out of 222 seats). That is a thing of the past, whereas now, the most that one party can win is maybe 50 seats.

“Thus, with the latest condition, I urge Sarawakians to take this opportunity to give their full support to GPS to secure all 31 parliamentary seats,” he added. — DayakDaily
