Premier to share on S’wak’s hydrogen economy, industry plans at Asia Pacific Green Hydrogen Conference 2024

KUCHING, May 31: Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg will deliver a keynote address on Sarawak’s hydrogen economy and hydrogen industry plans at the upcoming Asia Pacific Green Hydrogen Conference (APGH) 2024.

According to a report by the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS), the conference is set to take place at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) for three days, starting June 10.

Sarawak Deputy Minister for Energy and Environmental Sustainability (MEESty), Datuk Dr Hazland Abang Hipni, said around 700 international delegates from 27 countries will participate in the conference.

“Most of the participating countries are key players in the global hydrogen industry, including Japan, Korea, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and Australia.

“We expect over 4,000 visitors during the three-day conference and more than 20,000 virtual attendees,” he reportedly said after a courtesy visit to the Premier at Wisma Bapa Malaysia yesterday (May 30).

Also present were the Director of Borneo Business Connect Sdn Bhd, Datuk Dr M. Ganelhi, and the Executive Director of Borneo Business Connect Sdn Bhd, Nadzeem Abdul Rahman.

The primary goal of APGH is to attract investors, collaborators, industry partners, researchers, and delegates interested in fostering business growth and industries related to green hydrogen and renewable energy.

The conference and exhibition will serve as a beneficial platform for knowledge sharing between the government and investors as well as the private sector. — DayakDaily
