KUCHING, May 8: Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg entertained Sarawakians studying and working in London as part of his current working visit to the British capital.
As per a press release, the Premier recently attended a dinner in London where he interacted with Sarawakians.
During the dinner programme, Abang Johari participated in a question and answer session with students, where he answered questions on various topics such as digital economy, hydrogen economy, proposed Sarawak boutique airline, and renewable energy.
The dinner was organised through the Sarawak House by the Sarawak Foundation.
Abang Johari arrived in London on Friday night, accompanied by his wife, Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang, to attend the launch of the Malaysia craft exhibition at the Malaysian High Commission, as well as the launch of the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies and the inauguration of the Sarawak Wing at Oxford University.
Also present was the Head of State, Tun Pehin Sri Haji Abdul Taib Mahmud, and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Hajjah Raghad Kurdi Taib.
Among others present were Sarawak Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts (MTCP) Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, Sarawak Deputy Minister of Utility and Telecommunication (Utility) Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi, Sarawak Deputy Minister for Education, Innovation, and Talent Development (Higher Education and Innovation) Datuk Dr Annuar Rapaee, High Commissioner of Malaysia to the UK Dato Zakri Jaafar, Sarawak Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Office Datuk Hajah Sharifah Hasidah Syed Aman Ghazali, Sarawak State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, and Chief Political Secretary to the Premier, Fazzruddin Abdul Rahman. — DayakDaily
