KUCHING, June 23: Sarawak Artists Society (SAS) presented a painting to Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg during a courtesy call at the latter’s office today.
According to a report by Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), the painting signifies appreciation towards the Sarawak government for its sponsorship and support towards the Sarawak International Art Camp (SIAC) at Annah Rais in December last year.
Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah and Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts (Tourism) Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew were also present during the courtesy call.
The SAS delegation included vice presidents Sebastian Jong and Gerald Goh and the painting’s creator Aloysius Ho and other committee members. — DayakDaily
