MIRI, Feb 29: Police have launched Operation Kesan to track down and apprehend two suspects captured on CCTV stealing a metal gate from a house in Sealine 1 residential area during the early hours of today.
According to Miri OCPD ACP Alexson Naga Chabu, the house owner filed a police report regarding the incident this morning at 11:48 am.
“In the CCTV footage, the two men can be seen placing the stolen gate onto the roof of a car before swiftly leaving the scene. The theft occurred around 4.02am,” he stated.
The video footage clearly depicts the perpetrators loading the heavy gate onto a silver Perodua Myvi before making their escape.
The video has rapidly circulated on social media platforms.
The case is currently under investigation under Section 379 of the Penal Code.
