Police issues 20 compound notices in the past 24 hour

KUCHING, Oct 13: A total of 20 individuals have been fined RM1,000 each for violating Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOP) throughout Sarawak in the past 24 hours.

The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC), in a statement today, reported that police issued 15 compound notices in Miri, three in Kuching and one each in Betong and Sarikei.

Meanwhile, the Local Government and Housing Ministry also issued 90 oral, written and seizure notices under Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) (15), MD Serian (15), Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) (14), Bintulu Development Authority (BDA) (14), MD Marudi (13), MB Miri (9), Kuching South City Council (MBKS) (7), MPKS (2) and MD Sarikei (1).

Compliance checks were also carried out on 1,574 premises throughout Sarawak involving 185 supermarkets, restaurants (264), factories (14), banks (113), government offices (53), hawkers (70), markets (77), houses of worship (68), recreational areas (43), construction sites (24) and others (663). —DayakDaily
