SIBU, Jan 7: A partially decomposed body of a man was found in the thoroughfare of Jalan Wong King Huo Road today.
Acting Sibu district police chief, Supt Dr Collin Babat said the police rushed to the scene after receiving a report from a member of the public at 10.50am.
The man’s body was clad in a shirt and long pants when the body was found lying facedown in the grass near the edge of a ditch.
Initial investigation showed that the body of the deceased had bruises on the right side of the head before it was sent to Sibu hospital mortuary for further action.
The case is still under investigation and a postmortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
According to Collin, the case has been classified as sudden death. — DayakDaily
