PKR Sarawak calls on party leaders to choose Anwar as prime minister

Senator Abun Sui Anyit

KUCHING, Nov 21: Sarawak Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) appeals to leaders of all political parties to consider Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the 10th prime minister.

They are urged to take into account his record and ability when making the decision.

Sarawak PKR deputy chief Abun Sui Anyit said, Anwar’s reason to want to be a prime minister,is not because of power but the latter’s hope to build up Malaysia’s economy which is very much needed now.

“Only Anwar Ibrahim should be appointed to bear the task of saving Malaysia.

“The country really needs Anwar as prime minister now to raise Malaysia’s name on the world stage.

“Most importantly, the people need to be defended by a prime minister who understands the plight of the people,” said Abun Sui in a press statement today.

Following the conclusion of the 15th General Election, Pakatan Harapan (PH) of which PKR is a component party holds 81 seats, Barisan Nasional (BN) has 30, Perikatan Nasional has 73, Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) has 6, Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) has 23, and other parties, 8.

Yesterday, GPS chairman and Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg said GPS has agreed to work with BN, PN and GRS to form the federal government.

However, BN chairman Dato Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has denied entering into any agreement on forming the federal government with PN. — DayakDaily.
