MIRI, April 4: Contraband cigarettes and liquors worth RM312,000 were seized by the General Operation Force Miri (GOF) during a raid at a premise in Technology Park, Permy on Tuesday morning (April 2).
During the 10.30am raid, a 26-year-old local man was detained for questioning.
“We suspected his involvement in the illegal trade of untaxed cigarettes and liquor found on the premises,” said Miri Police chief ACP Alexson Nga Chabu.
The case is being investigated under Section 135(10(d) of the Customs Act 1967. — DayakDaily
