Perodua cars, motorcycles up for grabs at Sejiwa Senada Kuching this weekend

The Perodua Axia to be won at the Sejiwa Senada programme at MJC Batu Kawah.

KUCHING, May 4: This weekend will be a perfect time for the residents of Kuching and the surrounding areas to head over to Dataran MJC Batu Kawah to visit the two-day Sejiwa Senada Programme on May 5 and 6.

A statement from Information Department’s Protocol and Public Relations Unit stated that a total of two Perodua cars, an Axia and a Myvi, would be the grand prizes up for grabs in a lucky draw contest for visitors which will be held in conjunction with the event.

In order to win the cars and other prizes, participants must fill in a form and get it stamped at the various booths set up at the venue, and return the completed form to the secretariat.


In addition, two Modenas Kriss motorcycles would also be up for grabs. Other attractive items to be won include flat-screen televisions, branded smartphones, computer gadgets and other electrical and electronic products.

There would be 140 booths set up by various state and federal agencies, government-linked companies and the private sector.

Meanwhile, on the entertainment side, the Sejiwa Senada Concert would start at 8pm at the same venue on May 5, to feature famous artistes locally and from Kuala Lumpur. They would be Jay Jay (Rindu Bayangan), Zizi Kirana (AF7 and D Academy Asia), Bob Yusuf (AF2), Iban singer Ricky Andrewson, and locals Dayangku Fazillah, Alice Liew, Iwan Dasri, Zaki Zaidi and D’ Cipta band.

They would be performing at the pre-show at 8.30am earlier that day before the official opening ceremony expected to be attended by Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg.

Other attractive prizes to be won at the Sejiwa Senada programme at MJC Batu Kawah, which include flat-screen televisions, branded smartphones, computer gadgets and other electrical and electronic products.

Food lovers will also have a reason to rejoice as more than 30 food stalls will be available at the Sarawak Kitchen there all under one roof.

The Sejiwa Senada programme is a one-stop platform for the various government agencies to meet and serve the people while offering various fun activities such as sports and recreational sports.

Open to the public, the programme is also aimed at enhancing the ‘feel good’ factor among the people so that they will be confident and aware of what the government is doing in bringing development and uplifting the socio-economic and living standard of the people.

Through the Sejiwa Senada programme, the government hopes to build better rapport with the public and to sustain good cooperation with them for the sake of progress and harmony in the state.

The next Sejiwa Senada programme would be held in Lubok Antu on May 7 and 8. — DayakDaily
