Pahang Regent Tengku Hassanal arrives in Kuching for five-day visit from Jan 15–19

KUCHING, Jan 15: His Majesty the Regent of Pahang, Tengku Mahkota Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Ibni Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, arrived in Kuching today for a five-day official visit from Jan 15 to 19.

Tengku Hassanal arrived at Kuching International Airport around 2.50pm in a special plane, where he was warmly welcomed by Energy and Environmental Sustainability (Meesty) Sarawak Deputy Minister Dr Hazland Abang Hipni, reported Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) today.

According to the news outlet, His Majesty will begin his official visit by visiting Petroleum Sarawak Berhad (Petros) at Icom Square tomorrow morning (Tuesday) before visiting Menara Sarawak Energy Berhad (Sarawak Energy) on Jalan Isthmus.

Tengku Hassanal is also scheduled to visit Borneo Cultures Museum (BCM) in the afternoon.

Later in the evening, His Majesty is scheduled to attend a State banquet which will also be attended by Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and other guests of honour.

On Wednesday, His Majesty will visit Semenggoh Wildlife Centre before heading to Fort Margherita and Dataran Ibu Pertiwi for a tea party in the afternoon.

On Thursday morning, His Majesty is scheduled to visit the Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) tower on Jalan Isthmus before departing for the Petros Multi-Fuel Station Darul Hana.

Meanwhile, on Thursday evening, His Majesty is scheduled to visit the Kuching Waterfront and depart from the River Cruise Terminal to sail on a yacht while having dinner.

On Friday, His Majesty will attend a session with relevant agencies before departing for Subang Air Base using a special aircraft.

Also present to greet His Majesty’s arrival was Deputy State Secretary (Administration) Datu Buckland Bangik, as well as community leaders and ethnic leaders (KMKK). — DayakDaily
