KUCHING, Nov 19: Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) personnel have convened in Sarawak to commemorate the two-day ‘KBS MYSED (State’s Youth, Sports, and Entrepreneur Development) Sukan Perpaduan’ (Unity Games) event, which was held at the Stadium Sarawak here.
MYSED minister Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah stated that the first trip gathered over a hundred personnel, including directors from various parts of Malaysia, TVS reported.
According to Abdul Karim, such activities can strengthen community unity in its entirety, in addition to sports participation.
“Not only her (KBS minister Hannah Yeoh)m but all the people of the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports came, and this is the first time because no other ministry has ever done something like this.
“Even though they visit Sarawak for one purpose, it can strengthen community unity,” he said during the opening ceremony of the Sukan Perpaduan 2023 event yesterday (Nov 18), as reported by the news outlet. — DayakDaily
