KUCHING, Oct 22: The road along Jambatan Sungai Tabuan/Jalan Setia Raja in Kuching will temporarily close one lane for pavement repairs and road surface upgrades from Oct 23, 2023, to Jan 10, 2024, with night work from 9pm to 4am Monday through Sunday.
According to a notice issued by the Sarawak Public Works Department (JKR), the location along Jambatan Sungai Tabuan is at Jalan Setia Raja towards Jalan Simen Raya/Jalan Permat (Pending) and Jalan Simen Raya/Jalan Permat (Pending) towards Jalan Setia Raja.
“Road users are kindly requested to exercise caution while driving on the road during the ongoing repair work. It is important to adhere to all traffic management measures to ensure all road users’ safety until the repair work is fully completed.
“The JKR Kuching Division will provide updates as needed regarding any changes to the date, time, and area affected by the ongoing works.
“Road users also are advised to plan their journey in the affected area. Road users are reminded that the maximum speed limit in the construction area is only 30km/h,” said JKR in the notice.
It went on to say that if there are any complaints or further inquiries related to the traffic flow, please contact the JKR Kuching Division Office via the line (082-203 073) during office hours.
