KUCHING, Feb 6: The recent incessant rain has caused three landslides along the Belaga-Menjawah Road.
Hulu Rajang MP Datuk Wilson Ugak Kumbong said the severity of the three landslides were of various degrees.
“Due to the non-stop rain for the last three days, three landslides have occurred along the Belaga-Menjawah Road.
“The landslide in one stretch is more serious than others. However, I still believe that actions must be taken immediate to ensure safety.”
He said he had requested private sector entities and Cahya Mata Sarawak (CMS) to clear the debris to allow vehicles to pass through.
“Actions are now being taken and for most part of the road, debris is cleared and the road is already passable,” he said. — DayakDaily
