KUCHING, Dec 24: Only fully vaccinated non-Sarawakians or residents in Malaysia can travel to Sarawak for work, meetings and leisure purposes and they will need to apply for entry through the EnterSarawak app or website prior to travel.

According to the latest Entry Sarawak standard operating procedures (SOP) for travels within Malaysia, travellers can also bypass Covid-19 testing and quarantine requirements when travelling to Sarawak.

They will be required to fill in e-Health Declaration Form (eHDF) upon arriving in Sarawak.

Among the necessary documents needed to be submitted for application include Covid-19 vaccination certificate or Covid-19 Ministry of Health (MOH) vaccination card, identity card or passport as well as flight tickets and itinerary.

For work and meeting purposes, travellers will also need to submit a letter of employment or invitation to attend a meeting.

For leisure entry, travellers will need to submit itinerary of visit or proof of tour bookings or proof of entering for leisure purposes.

As for non-Sarawakian children below the age of 18 with incomplete vaccination, they will need to undergo home surveillance.

For residents under Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) returning to Sarawak, they are exempted from entry application but will be required to show their S-MM2H visa to airline crews.

Non-Sarawakian travellers with an incomplete vaccination schedule are not allowed to enter Sarawak at this moment. — DayakDaily
