No room for party members aligning with Perikatan Nasional, says PBM chief

Datuk Larry Sng

KUCHING, Dec 17: Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) has declared full support to the Malaysian Unity Government led by Prime Minister Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim and rejected any possibility of aligning with the opposition Perikatan Nasional (PN).

Its president Larry Sng said he is committed in supporting the new pact which comprises of Pakatan Harapan (PH), Barisan Nasional (BN), Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS), Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) and Parti Warisan (Warisan).

“As president of PBM, I am committed to give my full support to this unity government to ensure political stability is preserved for the next five years.

“I want it to be clear that there is no room, under my leadership, for those party members who opt to align their support with PN.

“PBM’s position is to support the government of the day. There should be no ambiguity on the issue,” he said in a Facebook post yesterday.

Sng was present during the signing of a cooperation agreement between the parties involved held at Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in Putrajaya yesterday.

Following the Agreement, PH, BN, GPS, GRS, Warisan, PBM, Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM) and two independent MPs are entering a coalition to form the Malaysian Unity Government for a period of five years. — DayakDaily
