No injuries reported following early morning landslide at Simunjan

SIMUNJAN, Dec 11: Heavy rain over the last two days here triggered soil movement leading to a landslide in Jalan Sekujang this morning.

The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre in a statement disclosed rainwater had destabilised soil structure along the slope, resulting in mud and debris spilling onto the road.

The centre received the emergency call at 6.45am and despatched four firefighters to the scene.

No injuries were reported in the incident and the stretch was reopened at 8.20am after earth-clearing work was completed. — DayakDaily
