KUCHING, Oct 4: Temporary half-road closures will be in place from 9pm until 4am along Jalan Tun Datuk Patinggi Haji Abdul Rahman Yaakub (Q1) to Jalan Bako Trunk (Q2) here for road surface upgrading works which have been scheduled from Oct 3 until Nov 2.
Public Works Department (JKR) Sarawak in its advisory notices thus urged road users to be extra careful when approaching the two stretches of roads throughout the maintenance period.
Road users are also reminded to follow all traffic safety signs and instructions put up in the affected areas or use alternative routes until the works have been completed.
JKR Kuching Division will notify the public should there be any changes to the maintenance date and areas involved.
Road users are also advised to plan their journey ahead through or surrounding the affected areas.
