KUCHING, April 14: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg received a courtesy call from the new Federal Secretary of Sarawak, Datuk Amir Omar at his office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia here today.
Amir was accompanied by his deputy, Norizan Jili during his visit.
According to a statement from the Chief Ministerās Office, Amir took over from Datuk Mohammad Shahabuddin Omar who retired on April 3.
He previously served in the Public Service Department as the secretary-general in the Ministry of Human Resources.
Talking to the media after his courtesy call to the chief minister, Amir said he would work towards strengthening cooperation between the Federal and State government to improve the quality of education, boost development as well as enhancing economic relations. ā DayakDaily
