KUCHING, 14 Aug: Police confiscated 3,320 cartons of cigarettes with unpaid duty totalling RM495,744 at a building located at Jalan Mission, Debak on Friday morning.
According to General Operations Force (PGA) Commander SAC Mancha Ata, police raided the premise, which also happened to be a bird’s nest collecting facility, at 7.30am.
A local female suspect was also arrested during the raid and the case will be investigated under Section 135(1) of the Customs Act 1967.—DayakDaily
