KUCHING, Aug 14: Mulu and Limbang recorded among the highest maximum temperatures nationwide on Thursday (Aug 13).
According to a post on its Facebook page, the Malaysian Meteorological Department (METMalaysia) said that Mulu recorded a maximum temperature of 36°C—the highest in the nation—while Limbang recorded 35.5°C, along with Kudat in Sabah.
In Sarawak, Kapit also recorded a maximum temperature above 35°C, at 35.3°C. This is followed by Sibu (34.9°C), Bintulu (34.7°C), Kuching (33.7°C), and Miri (33.1°C).
Members of the public have been reminded to drink plenty of water regularly, limit outdoor activities, wear sunscreen, use protection such as umbrellas or hats, and stay in shaded, well-ventilated, or air-conditioned areas whenever possible. — DayakDaily
