KUCHING, Aug 15: Several MPs gathered at the Perikatan Nasional (PN) headquarters at Publika in Kuala Lumpur this morning to attend a high level meeting amid speculations that Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin is resigning.
According to various online media reports, among those entering the building were Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed who is also Jeli MP; Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah; Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin and Deputy Parliament Speaker Datuk Mohd Rashid Hasnon.
Kuala Langat MP Datuk Dr Xavier Jayakumar, who is an independent MP, was also spotted entering the building.
Muhyiddin and his special advisor Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu are believed to have arrived and attended the meeting as well.
Some media have reported that Muhyiddin is expected to have an audience with Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah at Istana Negara tomorrow (August 16).— DayakDaily
