KUCHING, Aug 12: Food baskets for the needy have been presented to Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) today by Sarawak Pui Clan Association and Teck Kong Trading Sdn Bhd.
MPP chairman Lo Khere Chiang accepted the food baskets on behalf of the council from Penghulu Pui Chow Hin, who is also the owner of Teck Kong Trading.
Lo said the donations of dry food are meant for families in areas under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) in Padawan and MPP will be arranging for distribution in due time.
“I wish to express my thanks to the Pui Clan Association and also to Sarawakians who have come forward to help me during this Covid-19 pandemic,” he said after the simple handover ceremony at the MPP office here today. — DayakDaily
