Motorcyclist, pillion rider injured in hit-and-run

The victims were rushed to SGH for treatment.

KUCHING, March 15: A motorcyclist and pillion rider suffered injuries after being involved in an alleged hit-and-run at Mile 37, Jalan Kuching-Serian here today.

Fire and Rescue Department received a distress call from the public at around 9.40am.

“According to the victims, they were travelling along the road when a car crashed into them from behind, causing both the victims to fall from the motorcycle,” the department said.

It was understood that the driver of the car did not stop and fled the scene following the incident.

The victims were rushed to the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for treatment. — DayakDaily
