KUCHING, Oct 30: Motor Vehicle Licenses (LKM) or road tax renewal can now be made at all 14 of the Computerised Vehicle Inspection Centre (Puspakom) branches in Sarawak and Sabah starting November this year.
In disclosing this, the Ministry of Transportation (MOT) said the process will involve renewal transactions for private cars and motorcycles (except e-hailing vehicles), as well as decontrolled vehicles (vehicles carrying goods weighing 7,500kg and below).
“Generally, this LKM renewal initiative has been implemented in Peninsular Malaysia since 2020 involving decontrolled vehicles, and in September and October this year, this initiative was extended to private cars and motorcycles,” it said in a statement today.
Through this initiative, MOT hopes that it will be able to improve the level of government service delivery and facilitate a wider range of services to the people.
