KUCHING, Nov 9: SS Fighters muay thai fighter Mohammad Izzat Zulfaqar defeated Fadzly Julai from Warmonger Miri in the Superfight Pro 62kg clash to win the title of champion at the Sarawak Premier Cup Muaythai Championship 2023 held at Paragon Street Mall Bintulu recently.
According to a news report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), the intense match was witnessed by Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports and Entrepreneur Development, Datuk Dr Ripin Lamat, who officiated at the tournament.
In the Pro 51kg category of the International Invitational match, Phoenix Meranek Samarahan nak muay Yat Hasbullah, was defeated after a lively three-round contest against Salam Sampuri from Yemen.
Also stealing the spotlight was a clash in the Superfight Pro category, which saw Sibsan from Thailand successfully defeating Gerald Dah from Top Dog Gym Ghana.
Meanwhile, in the Superfight Pro 48kg women’s category, Ecah Gomo representing Gomo Muaythai Selangor claimed a win over Revo Muaythai Gym’s Baby Tasha.
In the Superfight Pro 60kg competition, Riedzwan Norsyahmie from 66 Unicorn Muaythai Gym beat Aiman Taro from PS Muaythai Bintulu.
Other highlights include the clash between Nidal ‘King Joker’ of JTT Malaysia and Mostafa from Muayfit KK Iran in the Superfight Pro 83kg category, where Nidal emerged victorious. — DayakDaily
