KUCHING, Aug 16: Miri City Council’s (MCC) Rating and Valuation Department will hold a fishing tournament in conjunction with Miri City Day’s 17th anniversary.
According to MCC deputy mayor Julaihi Mohamad, the tournament will take place on Sept 18 at Kolam MGP in Senadin.
“The participation fee is RM70 which includes a fishing rod and fishing hook,” he said at during a press conference.
He added that ratepayers participating in the tournament may claim a refund of RM20 if they have no arrears in assessment rate payments and their assessment rates for 2022 have been paid.
“This refund claim is subject to one rod for one property only. Refunds may be claimed from 8am to 1pm and 2pm to 5pm at MCC (Level 7), from Sept 19 to 23.” — DayakDaily
