Mintred: Sarawak Export Excellence (SEED) Workshop enables local businesses to penetrate international market with Sarawak brands

25 local companies, professionals, and expert trainers in a photo-call during the workshop.

KUCHING, Oct 25: The Ministry of International Trade, Industry, and Investment Sarawak (Mintred) has organised the 2022 Sarawak Export Excellence (SEED) Workshop (Branding) to normalise all economic sectors and provide a path forward following the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to a press release, the goal of the programme is to enable local businesses to export and penetrate the international market with a Sarawak brand.

Furthermore, it aims to raise local businessesā€™ awareness of international trade by understanding import and export requirements, assessing their businessesā€™ readiness, and ensuring they are comparable with investment brand standards.


The programme is also intended to provide local businesses with knowledge skills such as packaging, certification, logistics, and other pertinent information in order for them to successfully export their products.

ā€œI hope to ignite the spark that will propel Sarawakā€™s brand owners to success in having every tourist visiting Malaysia bring back at least one Sarawak-made product, followed by a strong international presence,ā€ said Marcus Teoh, one of the trainers and a marketing strategist, best-selling author, and international speaker.

The programme has 25 local companies participating, and professionals and expert trainers from various industries will cover the four days of intensive topic discussion.

Business Trends and Market Research, Crystallising Business Core and Positioning, Export and Import Compliance, and Business Leadership are among the topics that will be covered.
