KUCHING, Oct 22: A thunderstorm warning has been issued for the central and northern regions of Sarawak this afternoon by the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).

Thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds are expected to affect Kapit (Kapit, Bukit Mabong, and Belaga), Bintulu (Bintulu), Miri (Subis and Marudi), and Limbang until 5pm today, according to a MetMalaysia notice issued at 1.40pm today.

A thunderstorm warning is issued when there are signs of a thunderstorm with a rain intensity of more than 20 mm/hour that is close or expected to last for more than an hour. — DayakDaily
