KUCHING, April 28: Limbang is currently under a Level 1 heatwave alert, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).
According to a statement issued today by MetMalaysia, Limbang has been classified as having hot weather conditions, with temperatures between 35°C and 37°C for three consecutive days.
MetMalaysia defined hot weather as:
- Level 1 (Alert): Maximum daily temperature 35°C to 37°C for at least three consecutive days
- Level 2 (Heat Wave): Maximum daily temperature exceeding 37°C to 40°C for at least three consecutive days
- Level 3 (Extreme Heat Wave): Maximum daily temperature above 40°C for at least three consecutive days
