KUCHING, Feb 23: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm warning for Sri Aman, Kapit, and Belaga this afternoon.
MetMalaysia, in an advisory notice issued at 3.10pm, said anticipated weather conditions include heavy rainfall and strong winds.
The department also said that the warnings remain in effect until 6pm.
“A warning is issued when there are signs of a thunderstorm with a rain intensity greater than 20mm/hour approaching or expected to last for more than an hour.
“A thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning valid for a maximum of six hours per release,” it added. — DayakDaily
