KUCHING, March 29: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm warning for two areas in Sarawak at 3.50pm today.
Anticipated weather conditions include thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds affecting Betong and Sarikei (Pakan and Julau).
The warning issued at 3.50pm today remains in effect until 7pm.
A warning is issued when there are signs of thunderstorms with a rain intensity greater than 20 mm/hour or with the bad weather expected to last for more than an hour.
A thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning valid for a maximum of six hours for every release. — DayakDaily
