KUCHING, March 29: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a thunderstorm warning for two additional areas in Sarawak today.
Anticipated weather conditions include thunderstorms and heavy rain affecting Sibu (Sibu and Kanowit) and Limbang.
The warning issued at 4.55pm today remains in effect until 9pm.
A warning is issued when there are signs of thunderstorms with a rain intensity greater than 20 mm/hour or with the bad weather expected to last for more than an hour.
A thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning valid for a maximum of six hours for every release. — DayakDaily
