Five Form 5 students detained for assaulting fellow student in Mukah

MUKAH, March 29: Five Form 5 students from a local school have been detained for assaulting another student on two separate occasions.

According to Mukah district police chief DSP Muhamad Rizal Alias, the police received a report on March 24 regarding an instance of bullying.

“The first incident occurred on March 25 around 9.30pm in the boys’ dormitory, where the suspects accused the victim, a Form Two student, of misplacing their pants which he had washed.


“The victim sustained injuries to his chest and back as a result of the assault,” he stated.

The second incident occurred the following day at the same location and time.

“The victim suffered severe injuries to his chest, stomach, and private parts this time. He has been admitted to Hospital Bintulu for examination and further treatment,” DSP Muhamad Rizal added.

The case is currently under investigation under Section 506, 377CA, and 323 of the Penal Code.
