KUCHING, March 18: Megalanes Bowling Centre in Batu Kawah here has been selected as the venue for the tenpin bowling event during the 21st Malaysia Games (Sukma) this August.
According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), the tenpin bowling event will take place from Aug 14 to 20, with all 13 states are expected to participate, but Brunei Darussalam’s participation has yet to be confirmed.
Furthermore, the bowling centre is expected to accommodate up to 200 people at a time, including players and tournament officials.
Ukas also reported that on Sunday (March 17), representatives from government agencies paid a special visit to see how the preparations were going and to hear a briefing from Sarawak Sports Corporation (SSC).
It is understood that Megalanes Bowling Centre will have 42 competition lanes on the day of the event, with 24 athletes already registered. — DayakDaily
