KUCHING, June 24: Kuching City South Council (MBKS) mayor Dato Wee Hong Seng applauds the setting up of the Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP) Pending Branch mobile service team as it benefits community development and enhances the quality of life and the happiness index of residents.
In a statement, Wee said the government would fully support the team’s work that has been actively cooperating in setting up the service within the community.
He said the mobile service team shows a new example of serving the people and inspires more people to join.
“Residents are also encouraged to participate in community development in their ways, collectively creating a better community.
“We aim to be more systematic and proactive in assisting the masses,” he said during the launching of the SUPP Pending Branch Mobile Service Team today.
The mobile services team comprises members from the party operating for some time to provide various convenient services to residents.
This service aims to give the public a more convenient living experience and strengthen community cohesion.
The mobile service team operates voluntarily, providing various services to residents free of charge, from medical consultations to family education, from legal advice to technical support, covering a wide range of areas.
The operation of the mobile service team is highly flexible, with service stations set up in community cafes on weekends, where residents can access services through appointments or on-site consultations.
In addition, team members also visit the community to understand the needs of residents and provide personalised services.
