KUCHING, May 16: A man and a woman are feared to have drowned at Sungai Rayu, Matang here today.
According to a report from the State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Operations Centre, the distress call was received at 3.01pm.
A team from Petra Jaya Bomba was despatched to the location which is approximately about 27km from the station.
As of 4.18pm, operation commander PPgB Muhammad Syamil Mustafa Kamal reported that three Bomba personnel are using personal flotation device (PFD) and safety rope to make an early dive at the location where the two persons are believed to be. – DayakDaily
