KUCHING, Sept 21: An 18-year-old woman was killed after the motorcycle she was riding fell beneath a lorry at Batu 5, Jalan Matang here this morning.
The fatal crash occurred at about 8.20am as the victim was reportedly on her way to work.
Padawan District Police Chief Supt Barry William said initial investigations found that the motorcyclist was believed to have lost control of her motorcycle before falling into the path of the lorry travelling in the left lane.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are now appealing to members of the public who witnessed the crash or have information that could assist investigations to come forward.
